    Movie Links

These are links to the sites of some of my favorite movies ever. Forgive all the movie-maker jargon, which comes thanks to my film snobbishness.

    Star Wars (updated 6-18-2002)
Attack of the Clones. That's all I can really say.

The Lord of the Rings (added 1-28-2002)
AWESOME movie. Don't argue, just go see it. That's all there is to it.

    Minority Report (added 12-7-2001)
Next summer, everybody runs. This Steven Spielberg sci-fi movie stars Tom Cruise and looks RADICAL. Watch the amazing trailer. It opens June 21, 2002.

    Ghost World (added 12-7-2001)
This is a total, anti-teen-flick and it's really good. The script is great, satirical and witty (my kind of thing, man), the music is great, and the acting is great. It's not exactly mainstream, but it's awesome nevertheless.

    A.I. (added 7-29-2001)
There are a lot of naysayers are out there, and there are also a lot of wrong people. There should be no question in anyone's mind of the brilliance of this movie. Spielberg adds all sorts of neat Kubrick-ish touches all over, but also clearly maintains his own famous style.

    Final Fantasy (updated 7-29-2001)
A giant step in American animation, a pioneer for a new genre of film, much like Titan A.E., it isn't like anything else you've seen. Watch the movie, it is worth it. It is sad how it has only managed to tow in $30 million; very few movies ever take in such a low box-office gross.

    The Truman Show (updated 7-29-2001)
This absolutely brilliant film is perfect in almost every aspect, from cinematography to screenplay to editing. I could watch it a hundred times just analyzing the filming style and techniques. Oh yeah, and it's funny too.

    Titan A.E (updated 7-29-2001)
An incredible animated film that was a box-office disaster (a sorry $15 million) put Fox Animation out of business. If you haven't seen this please do. Supporting this movie can help push studios into producing more movies of this genre, rather than the cliched Disney formula.

The Prince of Egypt (updated 12-18-2001)
A GREAT animated musical, with awesome animation and the best songs. Everything about this movie is the best.

    Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
An unusual turn for director Ang Lee, but a great one. Yuen Wo Ping (fight coordinator for The Matrix) shows what he can do with REAL kung-fu actors and infinitely surpasses his previous efforts. Fast, fast, fast, and utterly amazing.

    Fight Club
A weird, weird, weird movie. It's a total trip and it is fantastically shot and edited. If you can handle this kind of edgy stuff then I suggest you watch this movie.

    The Matrix
Everybody knows about this really cool movie. A nifty storyline, great action sequences and dazzling special effects. Plus there's so many of those deep meanings in there too.
