    Literature

Most of my things here are short stories and essays, and most of those stories and essays are satirical, and a few of those are just slightly dark. Many of the earlier works here were written for a creative writing class, and the rest I just wrote here at home by myself.

    Weblog (updated daily)
With the death of one journal comes the birth of another. I have at last conformed to the masses and started up an online journal (the Berkeley Archives were offline and then I just posted them up as html pages every week) so you can keep up with my life despite school being over (w00t w00t).

    American Dream (10/12/03)
I wrote this drama in one day. It incorporates voice-over. The three parts were performed separately throughout church service.

    The Berkeley Archives
Well, I'm no longer at Berkeley, so the Berkeley Archives are no more. But if you'd like to occasionally dwell on memories, whether they be good, bad, or freakin' awful (as I would like to), then you can view the entire record of my college experience here. There was hardly a day that I didn't write an entry.

What Happened at the Shrimp Box
    (added 1/26/03)
I really like this story, and I wrote it all in one day! Wow, it's been almost exactly two years after I added the last story. Wow, what a comeback. This is about the Shrimp Box, and what happened there.

    One of Those Mornings
    (added 1/25/01)
Here comes another science-fiction/satire short story about the morning of a man in the future. From now on I'm going to write the stories in .html format instead of .txt, because it looks better and takes less time.

How To Operate An American Automobile
At my church there have been, in recent months, a mammoth surge of teenagers at last getting their itching fingers on their brand new, shiny drivers' licenses. I have a word of instruction for them.

    Confrontation of Zarkwog
One of my most thought out stories, and also one of my darker ones that sort of bashes our drug-infested culture. I kind of imagine the aliens in "Zarkwog" to be green with turnip-shaped heads.

    The Strange Planet
This one is rather lame because I tried to make a brilliant story constructed completely with dialogue and I failed miserably. But read it for its view of human behavior from a different standpoint.

    Brian and the Great Sword
My mind-numbingly cliched rip-off spoof of the Arthurian legend in it has more holes in it than Pebble Beach. When I first wrote it I thought it was smart and clever but it's actually pretty stupid.

    James and the Lamp
Hmm. Standard english class fare. A corny story about a guy stranded on an island who finds a magic lamp with a genie in it.

    Picture Day for Jimmy
This is one of my best stories, and probably the darkest. It's one of those stories that grabs society by the ears with one arm yelling "what a dork!" while using a hefty stick to beat it with the other arm.

The Story of Cory the Green Bean
Everybody in my class loved this story but I personally thought it was a little doofy. It's about a green bean named Cory, if you haven't figured it out.
